Intro to Drawing

For this project I wanted to create a drawing that incorporated text like a comic book. It was especially important that the text flowed and interacted with the environment. Doing so would involve the text with the environment and wouldn’t detract from the main drawing. The drawing itself is loosely based on Moby Dick but I also pulled from the Livyatan Whale, an extinct predatory whale. During this project I wanted to challenge myself by working in pen. Before this project I had exclusively drawn in pencil so I was more cautious when working on the final version.
